When you drive through traffic just enjoy it and have fun. Try to stay out of one lane and just find a way around if you are stuck behind a big car or truck. This will really keep the traffic moving. Don’t think your stuck in the middle of the road because you are where you are stuck. You will find a lot more space and time to make your way through a big jam or problem. Just deal with it and move on. You don’t want to be sitting in traffic for hours and wondering what to do.

Some people think that if they sit in the passenger seat and day dream all day that they will never get to see the beautiful things that the rest of us see daily. There is only one person that should be in the passenger seat and that is you. Just because you’re not driving doesn’t mean that there isn’t a way to day dream. If there is a traffic jam up ahead, day dream for a while if you are stuck in traffic and want to get somewhere else. This will fuel your creativity.

Another great way to beat the traffic is to start early in the morning. I can remember driving to work on a blind date. I would get up late, try and get some good sleep, then try and leave for work an hour later than I thought I would. You see, I wasn’t an early riser. I couldn’t wait until the morning to leave. You should too. What am I talking about? Read on.

Leave for work an hour earlier then you would normally because you want to create time momentum. You just want to accelerate as quickly as you can without using too much gas. If you drive the same exact route to work every day but just accelerate a half a second more than you would otherwise, you may be increasing your gas mileage by as much as 10 percent. Just for an example, if you would drive 15 miles an hour, and accelerate 10 mph, then you would be increasing your gas mileage by an extra 3 miles per gallon. Just make sure that you increase your acceleration gradually.

Your tires are an important item. They may say something about you, but they aren’t telling you everything. Don’t assume that they are in good shape because they are probably not. Spend the extra few minutes and give them a check up. You don’t want flat tires or bad tires, you already have enough problems as it is. You must also run tire pressure regularly. You should do this to prolong the life of your car’s tires. Plus, it will make you a safer driver.

As you can see, there are a few things that you can do to make driving more enjoyable and safer. One of the most simple things that you can do, though, is to get your engine checked out and have the valve caps cleaned. This, in turn, will add to the life of your car.
